Your Champion: Andy Walz
We’ve been lucky to enjoy many wilderness adventures with each other, family, friends, and strangers who soon become friends. For us, these experiences have been therapeutic, empowering, and life-changing. WI makes these kinds of experiences accessible to everyone. Please consider making a donation.
Of late, we are blessed to share outdoor experiences with our three daughters. “Seeing the world through their eyes” has helped us develop a whole new appreciation for the little things in nature like watching squirrels, picking dandelions, and rolling in leaf piles. Last year we took our girls camping for the first time and they loved every minute of it. Our daughter Clara noticed stars for the first time and is still talking about the raccoons who stole our marshmallows. A pup tent is now a permanent fixture in our basement. This year we ventured up the North Shore together hiked all the way to the High Falls of the Baptism River with 3 kids under 5. Clara and I also joined the Okee Dokee Brothers and WI on a Mississippi River day trip. The memories we made will last a lifetime.
WI makes these kinds of experiences accessible to everyone. Donated money goes to provide scholarships to people who otherwise couldn’t afford to access the outdoors. Please consider making a donation. Giving even 50 bucks makes a huge difference! Please take a moment to read some stories about people who have benefitted from the Opportunity Fund. Thank you much! Andy, Heidi, Clara, & Nora
