COVID-19 Safety & Travel Update

Join us for a trip of a lifetime! Whether traveling virtually or in-person, you can travel with confidence with Wilderness Inquiry. Our in-person experiences are designed with your safety and health as our top priority. We welcome both group registrations (you only travel with individuals that you register with) and individual sign ups (for individuals who are fully vaccinated).

When you travel with Wilderness Inquiry, you can go in confidence. As part of our COVID-19 safety protocols, our staff will be fully vaccinated. We put safety first so you can rest easy on the journey.

We work with a team of community and health experts to help guide our safety measures on and off the trail. Please read our attached policy statement for our full outline of policies and rationale behind them. In summary, we continue to take the following measures to keep our participants and staff healthy and our programs operating on schedule.

Day Trips:

  • Vaccines are strongly encouraged but not required.
  • Masks are not required.
  • See full policy statement.

Multi-Day Trips:

  • Participants are required to be fully vaccinated and up-to-date (including one booster shot as eligible) against COVID-19.
    • Medical exemptions may be requested and are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Email [email protected] for more information.
  • Masks are not required unless traveling in a Wilderness Inquiry vehicle.
  • See full policy statement.

2023 Wilderness Inquiry Travel Experiences

We continue to monitor and update our COVID-19 policies. The above policy statement is in effect for the 2022 travel season (as of May 2022). In 2023 we expect that our travel options will have fewer restrictions. We continue to strongly encourage everyone to be fully up to date with their COVID-19 vaccination and take other necessary steps for the health and wellness of all. We will also continue to follow all guidance and requirements of locations that we travel, including for international destinations. As an organization that serves people of all different risk levels, we are committed to trying to find an experience that works for you, including private travel experiences. We hope you will plan to join us for an adventure. Call us at 612-676-9400 to book an experience that is right for you!

Since 1978, Wilderness Inquiry has connected people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to the natural world and each other. Although this time of COVID-19 has presented challenges, we are still able to offer safe ways for you to get outside. Our belief that “everyone belongs” is something that we act upon every day as we plan safe, outdoor experiences. It also drives the rationale behind our policies and practices. Learn more about our COVID-19 policies below. Let’s get to the other side of the woods together.
