Minnesota Freshwater Quest

Powered by the Captain Planet Foundation

The Minnesota Freshwater Quest takes students on a learning journey to explore species that depend on healthy watersheds in Minnesota. By learning about pressures on local waterways, students are able to use their knowledge to design and implement a project that makes a difference in their community.

Developed by Wilderness Inquiry and Captain Planet Foundation

Hands-on Experiential Learning & Outdoor Education

The Minnesota Freshwater Quest is designed as a resource for parents, teachers and students. Individual families or whole classrooms can explore diverse habitats near their home or school, participate in hands-on environmental education on local waterways while paddling in 24-foot, 10-person canoes with Canoemobile, collect and share water quality data, and complete a youth-led project to improve their local ecosystem. Get started below today!
