John Butler is currently Chief Investment Officer for the Patrick and Aimee Butler Family Foundation, a Minnesota based family foundation. He is also on the Board of the Hazelden Foundation, a nationally recognized addiction treatment center. In addition to chairing the Hazelden Investment Committee, Mr. Butler sits on two other investment committees, one for a family foundation based in Michigan and the other for a private school in St. Paul. He has been in the investment business for over 25 years, and was most recently a partner at Mairs and Power, Minnesota’s oldest independent investment advisory firm. Mr. Butler is also on the board of a large, privately-held agricultural company based in Florida and chairs its audit committee. In the past he has been on the Board of Directors for the Catholic Community Foundation and the Minnesota Council on Foundations. John holds a BA from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia and an MBA from the University of Minnesota. He currently resides in St. Paul, Minnesota with his partner, Sara Rottunda, an executive at the Medtronic Corporation.
