Expand All FieldsDay 1: Welcome to Tanzania! Explore the vibrant culture of Stone Town.
Your guide will meet you at the Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO). Fly as a group to the island of Zanzibar. Spend the afternoon exploring the beaches of historic Stone Town and immerse yourself in its myriad of cultural influences.
Day 2: Take a walking tour of the "Isle of Spices" followed by a relaxing afternoon at Matemwe Beach.
The day begins with breakfast amidst serene views of the Indian Ocean's endless horizon. Enjoy a walking tour and experience the “Isle of Spices." This great trading center has been known around the world for spices and timber. After lunch, travel north to Matemwe Beach and explore the idyllic white sand beaches.
Day 3: Snorkel amongst turtles, schools of colorful fish, and bottlenose dolphins.
Spend the day on the water exploring the sea. Snorkel among the protected reefs to spot clown fish, green turtles, and starfish. Watch bottlenose and humpback dolphins play off the shore with a chance to swim with these creatures before returning back to Matemwe.
Day 4: Travel to the famed Jozani Forest and search for the red colobus monkey.
Travel south to the enchanting Jozani Forest, the largest remaining mature forest on Zanzibar. Explore the area in search of the red colobus monkey, found nowhere else in the world. Visit the Zanzibar Butterfly Center to experience netted gardens comprised of hundreds of endemic species.
Day 5: Transport back to the airport before saying farewell to your trip mates.
After breakfast, transport to the airport to fly back to Dar es Salaam before the journey home.
