Description:
Join a group of up to 9 BIPOC-only adult participants and guides on a back-country style BWCA experience. On day one, your group will enter the BWCA by canoe at a designated entry point where you will paddle to your fist back-country campsite. Each BWCA campsite has a pit toilet, space for tents, and a designated fire ring/grill. Only one group is allowed at one site so you will not be sharing the space with anyone outside of your BIPOC group. During the trip your group may pack-up camp each morning to paddle farther into the wilderness, setting up camp at a new site each day, or you may choose to camp in the same spot for more than one night. Your meals will be cooked on a campstove or over the fire, drinking water is drawn from the lakes and purified by filters or by boiling, and days are spent, paddling, portaging (carrying canoes and gear over land to the next lake), fishing, swimming, reading, etc., and spending time with each other. You will depart the BWCA on the last day of your trip at the same place where you entered. All meals and group gear are provided, and you may borrow personal gear from Wilderness Inquiry for free.
