Your Champion: Paul Fischer
My son Sam and I share a passion for the outdoors – and we think it’s important to create opportunities for others to experience the wonders of time spent in nature. Wilderness Inquiry’s inclusive adventures do just that, connecting individuals of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and abilities to outdoor experiences demonstrated to provide a host of health and wellness benefits.
My friends know of my lifelong passion for everything outdoors and also my involvement with organizations that support people with disabilities. It was only natural that I became a part of this organization, as Wilderness Inquiry blends both of my interests through its mission of inclusive adventures. I have served on the board for nearly a decade and have had many great opportunities to witness Wilderness Inquiry’s mission of inclusive outdoor adventures in action.
The concept is simple: you make a gift and a person who otherwise would not have the chance gets to participate in a program that builds connection to community and the outdoors. Donations provide scholarships for those with financial need, support services for people with disabilities, and programs for underserved youth.
Wilderness Inquiry is also in the top of the top when it comes to using their resources effectively to advance their mission – something that is very important to me. A proud recipient of Charity Navigator’s top classification of four stars, Wilderness Inquiry impactfully serves people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities across the nation.
