Join Wilderness Inquiry in the 10th Annual Great River Race to Close the Opportunity Gap! This event supports Wilderness Inquiry’s Minnesota Canoemobile program, which engages and connects youth to STEM-based educational opportunities in the outdoors.
In the Canoemobile program we work with dozens of partners to conduct station-based activity days that include canoeing, environmental education activities, and an introduction to local resources for future participation in the outdoors. Through COVID-19, we have pivoted to providing our innovative outdoor education in new ways, such as through the Minnesota Freshwater Quest, Passport to Explore, the Mississippi River Explorers Virtual Camp, and other online resources.
Engagement in the outdoors is as important as ever, and Wilderness Inquiry programs support the physical, mental, and emotional health of young people in our community at a time when it is needed most. By investing in outdoor learning opportunities for youth, our programs are working to close the opportunity gap across Minnesota, providing for a more equitable, just, and environmentally engaged state.
If you haven’t done so, register to join our virtual Great River Race and participate in the 10-Day Challenge at greatriverrace.org.
