August 8, 2019 Leave a Comment

Wilderness inquiry is honored to have been awarded Charity Navigator’s 4-star rating for the fifth consecutive year and the ninth year overall! This award is the highest-ranking award Charity Navigator grants to nonprofits and it demonstrates that Wilderness Inquiry is carrying out the mission of inclusive adventures in a financially efficient and transparent way. Only 12 percent of charities assessed by the nation’s largest evaluator have accomplished 5 consecutive 4-star ratings.

“Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that Wilderness Inquiry exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work,” said Michael Thatcher, President and CEO of Charity Navigator. “This exceptional designation from Charity Navigator sets Wilderness Inquiry apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”

Greg Lais, Founder and Executive Director of Wilderness Inquiry, shared, “We are committed to ensuring that all support for Wilderness Inquiry has the greatest impact possible, with donations going directly to inclusive programs in the outdoors. The 4-star rating from Charity Navigator is an honor and demonstrates our commitment to quality and good stewardship.”

Wilderness Inquiry scored 97.10 out of 100 for financial performance and 100 out of 100 for accountability and transparency. You can view Wilderness Inquiry’s full profile on all financial, accountability and transparency metrics here.
