Overview
The Chattahoochee River forms the southern half of the Alabama and Georgia border, as well as a portion of the Florida – Georgia border. It is a tributary of the Apalachicola River, a relatively short river formed by the confluence of the Chattahoochee and Flint rivers and emptying into the Gulf of Mexico. In recent decades many efforts have been made to improve the water quality and return much of the river to its natural path. Canoemobile engages with thousands of youth in the area to bring hands-on experiential learning to participants.
