Stew grew up chasing around the shores of the Fox River near Green Bay, Wisconsin. After getting introduced to canoeing with his father, he led canoe trips in northern Canada and taught at various outdoor education centers before settling in Minnesota. Now a long-time resident of Saint Paul, Stew is fired up to be working with Wilderness Inquiry. He believes it's critical to be getting the school groups out on the Mississippi River or Fort Snelling State Park. Stew can also be found on a tennis court or parading around the town with his wife and three boys.
