Patrick has an infectious smile and is a jack-of-all-trades. He may be your guide, cook, porter, or computer repairman. If you only meet him for a day, he leaves a lasting impression. Patrick has coordinated and led trips for groups like Friends of Ngong Road, University of Minnesota, School for Environmental Studies, and now leads Kenya trips for Wilderness Inquiry. He’s been up and down Mt. Kenya more times that he can count.
Born in at the base of Mt. Kenya and brought up in a small village known as Kambi, Patrick developed an appreciation for the outdoors at a young age. He attended Kambi Primary School as boy and then went on to study computers after high school. He worked in IT for several large companies before returning back to Kambi to work for Wilderness Inquiry, take up farming, and raise a family.
When not planning or leading treks and safaris, Patrick enjoys reading adventure novels and playing football and tennis. He is also a father of twin boys (Samuel and Mugo) and a girl (Rachael Njoki) with whom he shares his love for the outdoors.
