Maria grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and started engaging with the outdoors when a high school gym teacher taught her how to paddle a canoe. Now, she is a student at the University of Minnesota studying geography and land management. In the past Maria has worked on UWCA programming through partners like the US Forest Service and the National Park Service. Maria is thrilled to work for Wilderness Inquiry and continue to engage students with their environment! When not out with students, Maria likes to explore the Twin Cities on her bike and try new flavors of ice cream.
