Hardt's love for the outdoors began at an early age. From spending the summers of his childhood wandering about the Adirondacks in upstate New York, where his grandparents owned a summer home, to paddling the many waterways that crisscross his home state of Minnesota, he has long held a passion for exploring natural landscapes. Now at 22 years of age, some of Hardt's latest outdoor travels have taken him to places like Alaska, the Yukon Territory, the Northern Rockies, the Colorado Rockies, central Ontario, Hawaii, and New Zealand. A recent graduate of Macalester College in St. Paul (with a BA in geography), Hardt is eager to embark on his next adventure working with WI and the U.S. Forest Service.
