Anne has been working in various wilderness settings throughout the last decade. Originally from Minnesota, she first discovered her passion for wilderness travel in 2009 while working as a canoe guide for a program in Nothern Minnesota and Canada. She completed her BA in chemistry from St. Olaf College and quickly returned to the field. Since then, Anne has made her home in Missoula, Montana continuing to guide adult and youth work crews for Montana Conservation Corps and then as a Field Staff for InnerRoads a wilderness therapy program. She is currently working on her master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Montana and is excited to return to her Minnesota roots for the summer. Anne spends most of her free time in the forest, on the river or having spontaneous dance parties. Her passions for developing confidence, skill, and agency in the wilderness, and joy for sharing nature-based experiences are evident upon meeting her.
