Wilderness Inquiry’s Photography Interns are responsible for capturing the moments that make our trips so special. In this internship, you will spend time on trail capturing the essence of our trips. You will also spend time in the office editing, cataloging and finding media avenues to share our photos. This mixture gives interns hands-on experience in photographing candid subjects of diverse backgrounds while also gaining experience working alongside our marketing team to help tell compelling stories through visual media.
-Previous photography and/or videography experience
-Personal photo/video equipment
-Experience with photo/video-editing software such as Adobe Creative Suite
-Interest in traveling and outdoors adventures
-Self-starter with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse group of co-workers and trip participants
-Strong storytelling skills through visual mediums
This internship is ideal for students and others who wish to build a portfolio of outdoor photography, portraits, or video. You can see examples of individuals photographs throughout our website. College credit may be available depending on the requirements of your college or university.

Additionally, housing may be available during employment at Wilderness Inquiry’s Staff House by request and meals are provided for staff and interns during programming days.
Please note: Photography interns are expected to have and maintain their own camera equipment and gear. In addition, in your time on trail it is expected that you assist Outdoor Leaders with trip logistics and participant needs. This may at times supersede your responsibility of taking photos. Safety and customer service are always number one.
