Day 1: Welcome to Montana!
Your trip starts at the Bozeman Airport in the afternoon. From there you will meet the group and drive to West Yellowstone. Check into your accommodations and discuss the trip together over dinner. Enjoy an evening bonfire with s’mores under the starry skies.
Day 2: Ski amidst the pines.
Explore miles of gently rolling, beautifully groomed trails just outside your cabin door. Glide through the Gallatin National Forest and enjoy the solitude of winter. After lunch, visit the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center before heading to a local restaurant for dinner.
Day 3: Explore the park via Snowcoach.
Sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery and wildlife from a private Yellowstone Snowcoach ride. You'll be warm and toasty while enjoying some prime viewing no matter where you are seated. Make several stops to take photos and enjoy the splendor of Yellowstone in the winter. Visit Old Faithful and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone without the crowds.
Day 4: View wildlife via snowshoe.
Spend the day snowshoeing through Gallatin National Forest and keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. In the afternoon enjoy a relaxing dip in the hot tub before. Discuss trip highlights and have one last bonfire under the stars.
Day 5: Pack up for your journey home.
Enjoy a final breakfast together before saying goodbye to your trip mates and embarking on your journey home.

What to Expect
TERRAIN/ROUTE CHOICES: The Yellowstone area has a wide variety of terrain and ecosystems. During the winter, much of the terrain is blanketed in snow and can be slippery. Accessible paths are available within the park.
TYPE OF TRAVEL: We will travel in and around the park via snowshoe, cross-country ski, by foot, using the WI van, and snowcoach.
WEATHER: Temperatures in the winter months fluctuate from 5° F to 35° F. It can get especially chilly in the evenings.
YOUR GROUP: The group size ranges from 10 to 12 participants, plus 1-2 or more Wilderness Inquiry staff. Each group consists of people of various ages, backgrounds and abilities, including people with disabilities. Our trips are cooperative in nature. WI staff will assist you in whatever areas you need, however most people pitch in where they can.
ACCOMMODATIONS: At night, you will sleep in a single or double occupancy lodge room. Couples traveling together will share a private room, solo travelers will be paired with participants of the same gender. Single rooms for individuals can be guaranteed for an additional supplement fee.
MEALS: The food we bring is plentiful and nutritious. You can expect great breakfasts served with fresh coffee, trail lunches, a variety of snacks, and delicious dinners with dessert. If you have special dietary restrictions, be sure to list them on your registration.
EQUIPMENT AND CLOTHING: Wilderness Inquiry will provide all group equipment. You will need to provide your personal gear as outlined in the packing list.
