Overview
Barr Lake State Park established in 1977 has 12 miles of trails including an 8.8-mile trail that circles Barr Lake. This spot is popular among birders to try and catch a glimpse of the numerous bald eagle pairs that nest along the shores of the lake every winter. Participants on Wilderness Inquiry’s Canoemobile may be lucky enough to get a front-row seat for these eagle sightings as they dip their paddles into the calm waters of Barr Lake.
