Join us for a family-friendly event to celebrate our beautiful National Park -- the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area!

Where: Sand Flats off West River Parkway and 34th St (View Map)
Visit with NPS rangers at the riverside sand flats below the stone steps at 34th Street to learn more about our National Park and then jump in a ten-person, Voyageur canoe with Wilderness Inquiry to paddle on the magnificent Mississippi River! The annual event is hosted by the River Gorge Committee of Longfellow Community Council.
This event is free and open to the public. All ability levels are welcome – no prior experience necessary. We supply all paddling and safety equipment, so grab your spirit of adventure and meet us at the river!
