40 years ago this May, Greg Lais and Paul Schurke rode to the State Capitol to file our Articles of Incorporation. Wilderness Inquiry was officially recognized as a non-profit when then Secretary of State Joan Anderson Growe made the filing official.
On May 4, 2018, we mark the 40th anniversary of that spring day, but what hasn’t changed is the belief that we are All in this Boat Together. The motto “Anyone. Anywhere. Anytime.” has inspired travel and a connection to the outdoors for more than 500,000 people in the past 40 years — from the Apostle Islands to the Potomac to Peru.
As we celebrate our 40th year, we want to hear how Wilderness Inquiry has made an impact in your life. Share your favorite travel story below, or simply leave a birthday note, and help us celebrate 40 years of inclusion in the outdoors.
