Wilderness Inquiry is proud to be a member organization of the Minnesota Environmental Fund (MEF). MEF works to protect, conserve, and restore Minnesota’s natural resources by supporting a total of 20 leading environmental nonprofits in the state. From clean water, climate change, and environmental justice, to protecting Minnesota places such as the Boundary Waters and the Mississippi River, MEF makes it easy to support all of this work and more with just one gift.
During this year of social isolation and physical distancing, connection to each other and the outdoors has become more important than ever before. Thanks to support from MEF, Wilderness Inquiry has been able to provide activities for continued participation in the outdoors, including trips for families and small groups to the Boundary Waters, Voyageurs National Park, and the St. Croix River; online resources for individual engagement and learning; and virtual education experiences for more than 600 youth to explore the ecology, geology, and history of the Mississippi River.
One of our trip participants from this year said:
“You cannot imagine how happy I am for being able to experience the BWCA again. I cried tears of joy at night. I hope to be able to do it again in the future, but for now, I have a great memory and proved to myself that I could do more than I ever expected!”
Wilderness Inquiry’s work would not be possible without our incredible partner organizations. Learn more about how the Minnesota Environmental Fund works to protect Minnesota’s environment for future generations at mnenvirofund.org or connect with them on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
