Support Team DuBois in the 2024 Great River Race
Wilderness Inquiry is a leader in outdoor accessibility and provides immersive educational and recreational experiences for thousands of people annually. Over the years, the focus has remained the same: inclusive outdoor adventures for people of all ages, backgrounds, identities, and abilities.
Wilderness Inquiry programs have far reaching impacts on individuals and communities. Research has shown participants are more confident, more appreciative of the talents and strengths of others, and more likely to pursue challenges in life after participation in Wilderness Inquiry programs. This translates into positive societal change and helps create more equitable communities across the nation.
In the Great River Race, we paddle in honor of Neil. Neil was a passionate young man who loved the outdoors and all kinds of outdoor activities. His love of snowboarding was contagious, inspiring many who saw him in action or just heard him talk about it to give it a try. After Neil passed away unexpectedly in the fall of 2004, his family created the Neil DuBois Memorial Endowment with Wilderness Inquiry as a lasting and meaningful legacy to honor Neil's life. The endowment now provides support to connect hundreds of other young people to adventures in the natural world.
