Sea Kayak Trips
Sea kayaks and sea kayaking offer a safe and personal way to explore the Apostle Islands or the Slate Islands in Lake Superior, Alaska's Prince William Sound, or other sea kayak destinations.
Based on various Inuit designs, the sea kayaks of today are made of lightweight, high-tech materials. WI primarily uses "Grand San Juan" fiberglass tandem (two person) kayaks manufactured by Eddyline. These kayaks are 21-feet long, very stable, and very fast. They can also carry a lot of gear, making them a superb kayak for multi-day kayak trips. Grand San Juan sea kayaks have a third cockpit in the center of the boat, providing options for new and more experienced sea kayakers.
