Voyageur Canoe Fund

These boats are critical to fulfilling our mission! Stable. Reliable. Comfortable. Adaptable. WI's fleet of 24' Voyageur canoes is the unsung hero in the WI success story. They make water-based travel possible for people with mobility impairments, enable entire families to experience the outdoors together, and carry thousands of young first-time paddlers down the Mighty Mississippi River every year.

It is not an exaggeration to say that WI would only be able to serve a fraction of the people it does every year without this critical piece of equipment.

As the number of people WI serves increases each year, so does the need to expand our fleet of Voyageur Canoes to serve them.

Each canoe is handmade specifically for WI by local Minnesota craftsmen and costs $12,000 to build. We appreciate you considering helping fund one of these boats!

Individuals, families, and organizations can also fully commission a ten-person Voyageur canoe and retain naming rights. Please contact WI at 612-676-9416 for more information.
